KC Consulting works with owners and CEOs of mid-sized food and beverage, CPG, and manufacturing companies to find risks inside their business before the risks find them.

Companies at this stage rarely fail because of a bad strategy. They fail because something they depended on quietly gave way: a customer who was a third of the volume, a supplier with no second source, a leadership team that was never rebuilt after growth outran it. We call these hidden fragilities and dangerous dependences, and they are seldom on the dashboard until they are a crisis.

Our work examines the six groups every company depends on: leadership, employees, customers, suppliers and partners, shareholders and investors, and community. Aligning all six is not a matter of good intentions. It is the most disciplined path to revenue, margin, retention, and valuation. The result is durable resilience, the kind that holds when conditions turn.

Engagements begin with a structured assessment producing a report and a roadmap, followed by execution support scoped to the business, from coaching the CEO, to coaching the team accountable for the roadmap, to hands-on leadership of the implementation.

The practice is led by Kent Cheeseman, who spent nearly four decades leading and rebuilding companies as a CEO and COO, including CEO of Whiskey Del Bac and VP of Operations at High West Distillery through its $160M acquisition. He is a West Point graduate and a Gulf War veteran, and speaks to boards, executive teams, and associations on leadership and resilience.
